Not much news

Not much going on around here. Drew is just resting, he's hardly broken through at all with this new drug. They started chest PT this morning, which basically looks like pounding on his chest to loosen up any secretions in his lungs. They say it's not painful, but it doesn't look fun. Drew has a slight fever (99.3) so they are doing some cultures, but don't expect anything to be wrong. It's typical to have a fever now. OK, they are about to do the therapy so I'll write more later.

Hi Andrea and Dan,

I was having a time of rest(can you beleive it, both children asleep at the same time) and I remembered the name of the song we were singing in church today. It made me shed tears just thinking of you guys. It goes right along with what your dealing with right now.

THe lyrics that spoke to me were:
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord

You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won't grow weary
You're the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles

I know that so many are finding strength right now through God and your family's example of leaning on him. Isn't it a blessing to know he is there to comfort us?

It is apparent at how much he has lifted you and Dan up. He has his arms so tightly wrapped around your little family right now.

Hope this song gives you as much hope as it gave me.

Love,
Jen

Thinking and praying for you guys!

I was at church this morning (yes I actually went) and was thinking about the video of Drew singing in church. He has given me such strength and touched my life in such a great way. Thank you for allowing me to walk in this journey with you.

Love you guys!

Jen-
It is so funny that you posted those lyrics, because that song has been in my head all day. Only the only verse I knew was "we will wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord." So thanks for providing the other words for me!

Hi Dan and Andrea,
I hope that all of you can get some rest tonight. I remember them pounding on Vaughn's back, they would use this circular platic thing. We will check in later, take care.

Hi Andrea and Dan:

Just wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you and praying!! I sent your story out to our prayer group and have been keeping them updated. I watched your video of all of the noise in Drew's room and remember how much I HATE that and also how much those noises consume your life!! We will continue to pray for your family.

Take Care,
The Hasty Family

No news is GOOD news!!!
I love it!
Don't you just love how that call that CPT "pounding"! I told them to stop calling it that...to tell me that they were "gently patting my baby"...not, pounding it!
Sweet Dreams!
Still praying!
Kathy
