Earthquake

Yesterday we packed everything up and headed back home. The kids were missing their Daddy, their dogs and their toys, in that order. The drive was relatively uneventful and the kids did a pretty good job. When we were almost home I heard that there was an earthquake in Southern California. We just missed it! It wasn't a very big one and so far I haven't heard of any injuries or substantial damage. I served as the point person for my family since cell phone networks were busy down there, but I could call them. Everyone was safe and sound, although they did all feel the shaking.

This morning we drew the winners for the raffle that Valerie put together for our family. We raised almost $2000! Thank you to everyone who contributed! We will use the money towards our hospital bills, which are still being sorted out with the insurance company. I will post the winners later today!

completely unrelated to your post...we found out today that our heart repair will be in the fall (probably Oct.) You have NO idea how mcuh following your journey, meant to me. I feel better prepared for if things don't go "perfectly". From a total stranger, "thank you."
