That's how much our most recent hospital stay cost. Actually, it was $596,114.36 to be exact.
And that's only from 5-23 to 6-12. We didn't get discharged until June 27.
Thank God for insurance! If we had to pay 20% of that, it would be almost $120,000!
Drew truly is a multi-million dollar baby!

Wow, what a shocker.
I wonder what part of that was the surgery and what was the unexpectedly long hospital stay.
I hope Drew doesn't need anything else done, ever, but do you know what your lifetime max is from your insurer? I think ours is $1 million and that freaks me out. Since we changed insurers last year Wren's initial surgery was covered by another plan but when I look to the future I doubt this will be the last.
Oh my!
wow, didn't even think about lifetime max. scary.
so glad you don't have to take on all of that cost. eep!
I will gladly pay my insurance premiums knowing that even though I may not be using it to "the max", that it helps people like Drew get the affordable care they need!

Actually, our lifetime max is 5 million. And even though that's what surgery cost (and what Stanford billed), that's not what insurance paid. I think they paid close to $400,000.
I think Drew is a multi million dollar baby regardless of any money spent on him medically.

you should have your son appraised and insured (well, besides the insurance you already have!). besides being a million dollar baby, he's also a hot commodity! in the end, that boy is truly priceless (was that as cheesy as it sounds?!?!).
