Ava's First Dance Class

This is a long video and is mostly intended for the grandparents. But it IS super cute!

On Monday I brought Ava to her first dance class. For about the first 45 minutes she didn't want to participate and just watched the class. But at the end she got really into it! She loved wearing her pink leotard and tutu and when we were in the car on the way there she said "Mommy, we forgot my crown!" So cute! I can't wait til next week!

ha, this was great! i have several comments:

1. that class seems nice. it is directed, yet they don't get all crazy about making sure each kid is doing the same thing. solo dancing in the corner would clearly be okay here, and that rocks!

2. boys would NEVER do so well without more direction than that. :-)

3. ava was hysterical galloping around in her delicate tutu and clod-hopper shoes.

4. i like the mix of clothes on the kids, and i bet it says more about the moms than anything else. and that's not a dig; i think it's interesting and cool!

5. i think you timed the end of the video perfectly, when ava did a double-take and noticed you taping, and before she freaked out about you taping her. :-)

The video is precious! Ava looks like she's having the time of her life! I love the part where gets sidetracked by herself in the mirror. She looks so cute..

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I loved every single minute of the video and Ava's personality came through loud and clear throughout the whole thing. I could practically hear what she was thinking just by watching her! I loved it! Will she go on the Monday I will be there?

Love, Mom

ok...so watching ava traipse around the room in her tutu and the fairy wand is probably the CUTEST thing i've ever seen in my life. loving it!

p.s. i loved the little punk-rock/hippie girl with her tie-dye tights. that would be my kid.
