We started the evening by having some friends over to go Trick or Treating in our neighborhood. First we had a Halloween themed dinner—I made mummy-dogs, grilled cheese in the shape of ghosts and pumpkins, and chocolate covered pretzel ghosts. Faye brought over witches fingers (carrots) and banana ghosts. I think the kids were too excited to eat very much.
After dinner some more friends joined us and we went door to door in our neighborhood as soon as it got dark. We went around our loop and got lots of candy. When we got home it was time to go to Trunk or Treat at Ava’s preschool. They had bounce houses and more trick or treating out of people’s cars decorated for Halloween. After we finished that up the kids came home with quite a haul of candy! It was a fun evening for everyone, topped off with a Giants win!
