Gymnastics Super Star
Ava has been moving through her gymnastics levels so quickly. For a 3-year-old she is pretty advanced. She has now moved through Kinder 1 and 2 and into Kinder 3 (which is for advanced 4-7 year olds) in about six months. She really loves gymnastics and it is fun to watch her. I am a little bit sad that she seems to have completely abandoned dance, but her love for gymnastics makes up for it. Here is a video of her doing some amazing straddle jumps.

Baseball Season
The beginning of March brought the end of basketball and the beginning of T-ball.
Drew is playing on the same team this year, The Scrappers, with the same manager and coaches, including his Daddy. The team is about half returning kids and half new kids. It is amazing how much better the kids are this year. Maybe it's just that they are another year older, or maybe it's because they have the experience and practice of last year. Probably it's some of both.
I somehow got put in charge of making the team banner 3 days before the opening day parade. Dan and I worked on it together and ended up producing the winning banner for our division! The parade was very cute, all the players on each team march in uniform with their banner to the fields. Each team and player is announced and recognized. Then the season has officially begun!
We've played a couple of games so far and Drew is doing really well. He's made some good defensive plays at second base and even played catcher at the last game. He's a good hitter and has made it on base every at bat so far. I think it might be his favorite sport out of the three he's tried. We've got 1 or 2 practices plus a game or two each week, so we'll be spending a lot of time out the ball field this spring.

Tiara Tea Party
We headed up to Sutter Creek recently for a Tiara Tea Party. It was put on by the Sorptomist Club up there and my aunt is a member. Me and Ava joined my mom, grandma, cousin and aunt for a delicious tea party! We were encouraged to wear tiaras (I'm always looking for a reason to wear mine!) and we celebrated family. There were lots of little girls there with their grandmas and it was very sweet. They even had a fashion show and a raffle, although no one at our table was very lucky that day. We had a good time visiting and afterward I got to help Heather with her baby registry. She is having her first baby, a girl, and I was so excited to be able to help her. We can't wait for her to arrive!
